Innovatrics Rolls Out MagnifEye: A New Liveness Detection Technology with an Extra Layer of Security
Based on more than 15 years of in-house R&D, Innovatrics introduces a novel approach to liveness detection called ...

The most accurate iris recognition algorithm in the world for single-eye identification currently comes from Innovatrics. After refining our previous approaches, the latest iteration has been able to outcompete larger competitors by a considerable margin. In two-eye identification, Innovatrics is second with only a negligible difference. The comparison is done by the US-based NIST in the ongoing Iris Exchange (IREX).
“Together with this IREX result we already have a leading fingerprint matching algorithm in NIST MINEX and also offer NIST-benchmarked facial recognition as one of only a handful ABIS providers in the world,” says Matus Kapusta, ABIS Business Unit Director at Innovatrics.
With its relatively small template size and fast template creation, the iris identification algorithm is designed for real-world applications such as border control, national ID programmes, visa applications or extra secure access control. It can even be embedded for on-device use such as e-gates, kiosks or border control terminals.
