Read morePublic security at the summit of the world’s largest countries was under constant vigilance by one of the most accurate facial recognition technologies on the market.
The recent meeting of the heads of the most economically advanced countries, the G20 Summit at Bali, was also a security challenge. To tackle it, the organizational team decided to opt for SmartFace by Innovatrics. The solution is able to locate faces in the video stream and check their identities against the database of potential threats compiled from various sources. The result is among the most accurate in the market and the identification is done in real time.
“The hotels where the heads of states stayed at Bali, the airport and the venues have all been outfitted with SmartFace to alert in advance if potentially unwanted persons would have been spotted,” explains Peter Martis, the head of global sales at Innovatrics.
Overall, 1,700 CCTV cameras have been deployed to secure the event from the airport to hotels to the congress center itself.
SmartFace is a flexible facial recognition solution able to locate and identify faces in real-time video streams. It can utilize edge processing capabilities of various hardware, cloud matching and other technologies while remaining hardware- and platform-agnostic. It is being deployed as a security solution in the new Palmerola airport in Honduras and it also provides access control to turnstiles and lifts to the new Agora smart building in Budapest.
