BioCon Malaysia Highlights Importance of Trusted Identification for Digital Economy
Innovatrics hosted another edition of our international biometric conference series, BioCon, in Malaysia last week. For the first ...
Read moreInnovatrics SmartFace Embedded simplifies the process of watchlist synchronization with edge devices, making it both user-friendly and cost-effective. The new service allows system integrators to easily manage and distribute watchlists to edge devices, eliminating the need for manual synchronization.
Deploying facial recognition systems on the edge or a smart camera presents new challenges, like managing watchlists for offline and on-camera identification. Our new service addresses these specific issues.
The watchlists are initially created on the SmartFace Platform and then efficiently distributed to smart cameras. These cameras, in turn, can seamlessly interact with third-party applications (e.g., VMS or access control systems), for example, to open doors or tourniquets.
Designed for easy integration, SmartFace Embedded enables cameras to pre-process video streams and perform core operations directly on device, resulting in lightweight cloud instances and substantial hardware savings. Such a system allows cameras to function as standalone devices even without an internet connection. Integrators have the flexibility to choose and combine specific processes tailored to their application, while maintaining a small footprint, minimal compute capacity, and easy scalability.
