Read moreInnovatrics has added its iris recognition into the SmartFace Embedded Toolkit, enabling hardware acceleration on devices using AI-accelerator chips. The Toolkit now features a highly accurate iris recognition algorithm, recognized for its top performance in ongoing IREX 10: Identification Track evaluations by the US-based NIST.
With the latest release, SmartFace Embedded Toolkit can efficiently handle iris detection, template extraction, verification (1:1), and identification (1:N). This integration allows for streamlined iris recognition processes directly on OEM and edge devices, using Rockchip RK3566.
The iris modality complements the existing facial recognition features of SmartFace Embedded Toolkit designed to simplify the development of embedded face recognition solutions. It not only enhances security but also optimizes resource utilization, offering innovative deployment options across industries.
Real-world applications of Innovatrics’ iris recognition algorithm include a wide array of sectors, including border control, national ID programs, visa applications, and secure access control systems. With its compact template size and rapid template creation, the iris recognition algorithm is ideally suited for deployment in e-gates, kiosks, and border control terminals. Moreover, its automated and self-service capabilities ensure ease of use, further enhancing operational efficiency in various environments.
