In a special lab in Brno, twelve computer scientists work on some of the finest, fastest and most accurate biometric artificial intelligence in the world. This is the complex machine-learning engine behind facial recognition and other authentication systems employed worldwide in activities like document verification, criminal investigation and border control. Every day, the scientists improve, adjust, test and train the sophisticated code \u2013 competing with hundreds of other companies to keep their algorithms at the top of world rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early in the morning, things look like an ordinary office: screens in sleep-mode stand on white desks, plants sit scattered between keyboards and sketched-on whiteboards hang on the walls. The first daylight comes in from the large windows; you can see the Moravian hills appearing just outside the city. It is the beginning of a new day in the lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
